About Us

Don Bosco Boys’ Town is a technical institute providing comprehensive education that encompasses technical skills, moral values, and holistic human development to empower young men and women to become productive and respected citizens of their country. Typically, our students fall within the age range of 18 to 22 years and come from the most underprivileged and vulnerable segments of Kenyan society. To achieve our mission, we offer a two-year technical program that is tailored to accommodate the unique needs of these disadvantaged students.

Given the challenging backgrounds of our students, our institution employs a distinctive, patient, and adaptable approach to ensure effective learning. Despite facing significant financial constraints, we spare no effort in striving for excellence in education. Our commitment to this cause is driven by our dedication to uplift the lives of the impoverished and marginalized.

Our training program comprises a two-year technical curriculum supplemented by practical workshop sessions. We offer instruction in a variety of trades, including Electricals, Mechanical Engineering (Machinists, Fitters/Turners), Welding, Motor Vehicle Mechanics, Masonry, Carpentry/Joinery, Plumbing, and Tailoring. Students actively engage in closely supervised apprenticeships as they prepare for the Grade III Government Trade Tests, which are conducted annually.

During the first year, students have the opportunity to select a course aligned with their interests, and in the second year, they are encouraged to pursue a different course that complements their initial choice. Upon successfully completing their training, our students receive the prestigious Don Bosco Merit Certificate and, depending on their choices, the Government Trade Test Certificate in their chosen trade or supplementary trades they may have opted for. This comprehensive education equips them with valuable skills and credentials to pursue meaningful careers and contribute positively to society.
