Waste Management Round Table Discussion – GREEN TVET

Don Bosco Boys Town Technical Institute hosted a round table discussion on waste management. This falls under GREEN TVET docket which is an active movement in our institution. Waste management is an essential in a technical institution so the trainees can learn how to practice recycling, and innovative means of reusing materials left over from production and practical learning sessions. We invited institutions who are in waste management industry to learn more from them and also to get into possible partnerships with them; they include Takataka Solutions, Garbage.com, Mr. Green Trading, WEE Center, Eupe Bin and Cleaning, Recycle and Reuse Enterprise. We appreciate the institutions who participated for their input and partnership, the management of Boys Town, Moderator and Green Alliance Patron Mr. Pius, the trainees in attendance and everyone else who participated to make this event successful.

Swiss Project Interviews 2023

Swiss Project conducted interviews to shortlist candidates who would get the opportunity to get first hand training and job opportunity in the plumbing and electrical field. We are grateful for this partnership and as the training center we welcome all the applicants and look forward to generating a reliable workforce in our mission to empower youth with skills for life.

BIWE Project in Don Bosco Boys Town

BIWE, short for Bildungswerk der Baden-Wuerttembergischen Wirtschaft, is the education and training organisation of employers from Germanys South-Western State of Baden-Wuerttemberg.

DBBT is implementing a TVET Partnership Project together with BIWE with the goal of modernizing the training courses of welding and masonry with a high practical orientation and installing an upskilling and certification process for semi-skilled workers.

The Project is funded by the Federal German Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) through sequa gGmbH.

Progress of the Motor Vehicle Mechanic Department Construction.

Progress of the Motor Vehicle Mechanic Department. The construction is on its last phase as they are now putting up the roof we thank God that it has progressed smoothly and look forward to working on the interior, furnishing and placement of the training machinery. We express our heartfelt gratitude to Polish Aid and the Salesian Missionary Voluntary Services, Salesians of Don Bosco and other key players for the realization of this project be blessed.

Progress of the Motor Vehicle Mechanics Department Construction. Working on the interior of the building, the construction is on its last phase and we look forward to the furnishing and installation of the machinery into the workshop. Certification of the Soft Skills Training Program

Certification of the Soft Skills Training program sponsored and implemented by the Polish Aid Project and the Salesian Voluntary Missionaries. The trainees had an opportunity to add more value to their competence by learning soft skills needed to advance and progress in their different departments and also in entrepreneurship.

Inauguration of the MVM Workshop by Her Excellency the First Lady of Poland.

On 6th February Don Bosco Boys Town Technical Institute was honored to receive a visit from Her Excellency the First Lady of Poland. Her Excellency launched officially the new motor vehicle mechanic workshop fully funded, furnished and fitted with the latest machinery by the Polish Aid Project and the Salesian Voluntary Missionaries Service. This is just but one among the many projects funded including tailoring, welding, computer and secretarial departments. We are grateful for this partnership and look forward to more as we strive in our mission to empower youth with skills for life. Be Blessed.
